Culture: China Fashion Week

Gowns by Zhang Zhifeng, art director for NE Tiger Clothing

China Fashion Week is set to take stage October 25th at the Golden Hall of the Beijing Hotel in Beijing, China.  Special effects seen at the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony will be incorporated into the couture shows. Over 30 designers will be featured in the events that are running until November 1st including two of China's well known, Mark Cheung and Qi Gang.  Some of China's top fashion brands will also be presenting runway collections.

Luxury fashion brant NE.TIGER will kick off the show in its usual dramatic style.  With a line of custom clothing NE.TIGER brings together contemporary style with ancient Chinese traditions.  Use of classic embroidery is evident in many of the creations.  The international fashion world will certainly have its eyes on China this week.
