As stars arrived at the event the question of the night was what will Lady Gaga be wearing? As usual she arrived wearing her ten inch platform shoes and strutted in a black dress with studs on the bustier topped off with a green wig. Gaga was among the winners of the night being honored with the Fashion Icon award.
The nights winners included Marc Jacobs, who was awarded the Geoffery Beene Lifetime Achievement award. Womenswear designer of the year was given to Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler. Alexander Wang was given Accessory Designer of the year. Menswear Designer of the year went to Michael Bastien.
Emerging designer Prabal Gurung won the Swarovski Award for Womenswear and Robert Geller won the Swarovski Award for menswear.
