Cultural Influence at L.A.M.B For Spring 2011

For seven years Gwen Stefani has been designing her fashion label L.A.M.B. The musician turned designer is one of the few celebrities who have transitioned easily into the world of fashion.  She's not one of those who just lend her name for licensing but, she actually is involved in the creative process.  Her collection for Spring 2011 had the feel of African culture in many of the bold, bright prints used.  Vibrant colors and mixing patterns were seen in nearly every outfit.  Of course every design had the ability to make every woman look great with feminine details of frills, tiered skirts and cinched waists.
The bold patterns were also contrasted with muted tones of grey and check patterns.  Pants flowed, skirts were slung low and suits were sexy.  Overall a very inspiring collection.

Take a look at the video below for highlights from the show.
