Louis Vuitton's Mod Inspiration

Louis Vuitton's mod inspired collection looked like the models stepped out of the pages of the 1950s or 1960s.  Each model strutted down the runway in pairs with outfits that matched each other and handbags that were made at times in the same pattern as the garments.

It was an interesting show opening with models coming down escalators then onto the large, yellow, checked runway.  But at times the pieces seemed to be repetitive and lacked some creative elements.  But overall it was a ready-to-wear collection that is easy to wear and can be mixed in any wardrobe.

Vuitton's handbags are one of the most copied in the world and judging by the simplicity of this collection, we're likely going to see some knock-offs on retail racks this spring.
