The new limited edition Fiat 500 by Gucci will debut during New York Fashion Week on Fashion's Night Out.  Since 1899, Fiat has been the symbol of Italian distinction in the auto industry.  Since the beginning of Italian industrialization the company has branded itself by creating vehicles that are both stylish and functional.

Gucci is celebrating 90 years and sees this as an opportunity to merge two iconic brands.  This special edition design was the collaboration of Stile Fiat and Gucci's Creative Director Frida Giannini.  "In the 50s the Fiat 500 created a style revolution when it first hit the road.  It quickly became the must-have car of its time.  Travelling in style has also been at the heart of Gucci ever since Guccio Gucci founded his company as a producer of leather trunks, suitcases and handbags in 1921. So when Lapo Elkann suggested the idea of this collaboration it stuck me as a perfect opportunity to create a new modern travel statement in Gucci's 90th anniversary year," said Giannini.

The stylish details of the car draws inspiration from retro influences.  The car is available in black or white, with distinguishing Gucci green and red stripes painted around the body and the interlocking GG prominently featured on the hubcaps.  The interior's glossy elements are sleek and elegant with many references to fashion like the velvet-effect treatments and two tone seats.
